DESCRIPTION

The project entailed the total renovation of an existing Colonial style house – the first home for a young couple relocating from NYC to the suburbs. The Kitchen was reconfigured and large windows were added at the rear of the house to create an open, bright feeling all through the main floor; existing Porticoes were reconstructed to enhance the use of the exterior areas; a new Master Suite and Laundry Room were added on the second floor; all the windows and patio doors were replaced with energy efficient units; insulation and mechanical systems were upgraded throughout; and all interior and exterior finish materials and trim work were replaced. To crown the project, the green-loving couple and their two young boys meticulously planted beautiful, terraced garden areas that enhance their home’s presence at the end of the cul-de-sac where it sits.
